The Sylhet District over 50s legends enjoyed an evening out with dinner at squad member Sheysta Miah’s Bengal Lancer in Kentish Town. The get together also saw the launch of the official team strip ahead of the 2016 Sylhet District Cup, which takes place in London on 6th November.
“We have great unity and togetherness within the squad and it’s been great fun. We have senior members of the community within our squad and it’s a pleasure to not only manage but learn from these legends,” said Manager Emdad Rahman.
Assistant Manager Abdul Kahar added: “Our ethos is based upon engagement and it was nice to enjoy an evening out with the team away from the pitch. It was great bonding and it’s important that we continue to encourage all members of our community to be active. Hopefully this will inspire others too.”
