Staff from Langdon Park School rolled up their sleeves to support a local centre by serving their homeless guests.

The Learning Support Team at the Poplar school invested time and money in cooking a number of delicious curries to serve vulnerable adults who visit and spend the night at the St Matthias Community Centre.

Along with Langdon Park School Learning Support Department there were generous donations from the 212 Lounge and La Verde.

Youth worker Amrana Bint Shofique said: “We are a very big hearted community. What we are trying to achieve here with the leadership of Sister Christine Frost is a lasting legacy of peace and this involves helping our fellow humans. It’s at these times that we realise how lucky we are.”
