LESS THAN THREE weeks after a fatal collision involving a motorcyle on the A10 Great Cambridge Road in Edmonton N9, there has been – a second fatal collision involving a motorcyle on the A10 Great Cambridge Road in Edmonton N9.
The second accident took place just after 11pm on Wednesday, 14th June. A car had been in collision with two motorcycles. Police and the Ambulance service attended. One of the motorcyclists, a 26 year old man, was declared dead at the scene, and his next of kin have been informed. The other motorcyclist, a 30 year old man, was taken to an east London hospital. He is still in hospital, with potentially life changing injuries.
The driver of the motor vehicle stopped at the scene. He sustained minor injuries and was taken to an east London hospital for treatment. He has not been arrested but is assisting police with their inquiries into this incident.
The initial impression that police have formed from the evidence so far available is that the two motorcyclists who were involved in the collision were travelling south along the Great Cambridge Road with a third motorcyclist, a 39 year old man, who has been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and remains in custody at an east London police station.
However, detectives from the Serious Collision Unit, wh are investigating, urgently need more information from witnesses to get a truly accurate picture of what happened.
