Product recall of Laila Mint Sauce

A BATCH OF Laila Mint Sauce is being recalled because there is no declaration on the label that the product contains egg. As such, it could pose a hazard to anyone with an allergy to or an intolerance for egg.

Laila mint sauce is sold in Asda, and the company has apologised for the inconvenience caused by the recall. It has also informed the relevant allergy support organisations to warn them what has happened. No other Laila foods or products sold at Asda are affected.

The affected mint sauce displays the batch code PR210617C2 and is marked as best before 21.06.18. The barcode is 502058000854 and the product is a one litre size.

Anyone who has bought the product should not eat it.  You are asked to take your purchase to any convenient branch of ASDA in order to obtain a full refund. You will not need to produce your receipt.
