THE NATIONAL Cricket League (NCL) will continue to lead on the Waltham Forest Cricket Strategy, Pathway & Regeneration Programme and is pleased to announce a free eight-week programme of aerobics and exercise sessions for women in the Leytonstone area.
The cardio and aerobics sessions will be delivered with key partners including Essex Cricket. The programme will focus on engaging local women and encouraging them to take up exercise as a lifestyle choice in order to promote healthy living. There will be two sessions a week: aerobic sessions (starting from Monday, 5th June) and physical activities (starting from Wednesday, 7th June) – both starting at 6.30pm.
The classes will be culturally sensitive to encourage wider take up from participants, and the objective is to introduce sport and physical activity as a fun pastime, be it individually or as a group activity.
Sajid Patel, Co-Founder of the National Cricket League, said: “We hope this great initiative will encourage more mothers and women in general to participate in some kind of sports & activities.”
