THERE’S BEASTS, plants and lots of outdoor enjoyment coming up at Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park in Mile End. Join in these special events – or pop into the park when you’re passing to enjoy the great outdoors.

Sunday, 26th May Beeswax workshop. Learn about the huge range of products that can be made from beeswax – with practical examples.

Tuesday, 28th May Forest School: with half-term activities for children. Events on at various times and dates throughout the week.

You can also help the Cemetery Park on a voluntary basis, doing simple tasks to help keep the Park fit for visitors. Sessions are held every Tuesday and on the first Sunday of the month. Every Friday there’s volunteering sessions with Grounded Ecotherapy for those who are suffering from mental health issues, substances misuse or homelessness or who just need a bit of eco-therapy. Training – and biscuits – provided.

•STOP PRESS: Save the date! The Cemetery Summer Fair will be held on 29th June. Contact the Friends of the Cemetery Park if you can volunteer to help – or just put the date in your diary. Details follow.
