Malmesbury Community Projects (MCP), a grassroots organisation serving the social needs of the Bow community for many years, partnered up with Ocean Youth Connexions (OYC) to deliver an end of year Funday with the support of Tower Hamlets Homes (THH).

More than 200 people, mainly young people, packed Caxton Hall to enjoy bouncy castles, face painting, henna arts, games, pool, table tennis, and PS4. There was also burgers and cakes on offer along with a local horse cart to ferry revellers around the estate.

Said Feruj Ali, a local participant who bought along several community members including his Father said, “I’ve really enjoyed this event as it brings together people who are often isolated in their homes and are unable to interact with people loving even a few doors away.

Naz Ali, a trustee of Caxton Hall and the Secretary of MCP added, “We are grateful to all our supporters, especially OYC and THH for their continued support of valuable community projects.” “In future, we want to organise a bigger street festival with all the stakeholders in the area.”
