POLICE HAVE released an image of a man they wish to question in connection with an inquiry into a possible insurance fraud. The inquiry is being conducted by detectives from the City of London Police’s Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED).
The man may be living in East London and has a London accent.
Detective Constable Kevin Carter, from the City of London Police’s Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department, said, “The Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department is dedicated to tackling insurance fraud and works closely with the insurance industry to bring fraudsters to justice. If you recognise the man in the image, please get in touch. Information that you provide could be significant to our investigation.”
Insurance fraud is not a victimless crime. It costs insurers a great deal of money and is a major factor in increasing premiums for everyone who has insurance.
