The Learn & Live Foundation organised a community charity exhibition at the Lansbury Lodge in Poplar to support the vulnerable and needy. In attendance as chief guest was Councillor Sabina Akhtar, Speaker of Tower Hamlets Council.

Activities on the day included stalls selling handicraft, art, traditional Bangladeshi wares, pottery, art canvasses and hot and cold snacks, as well as cultural and children’s activities.

A number of items on sale were hand-crafted by beneficiaries of the project in Bangladesh and funds raised will directly support them to become independent while also improving their various artistic and vocational skills.

Through promoting this form of micro business, an Earn & Learn programme for special needs citizens has been established in Fenchugonj, Sylhet along with a day care support centre in Mirzapur, Tangail.

The Learn & Live Foundation has been established for the benefit of people with disability, dementia, autism and other serious disabilities. LNLF is a non-profit making and non-political organisation working for the disadvantaged communities in Bangladesh. The Foundation provides an inspiring and supportive environment for young people with complex disabilities, enabling them to develop practical life skills with specialist support.

Volunteers work to relieve disadvantaged people who are in poverty and who are infirm and disabled. The organisation also supports the needy through the provision of facilitating educational and training activities where needed.
