Islamic Relief UK holds Umrah Competition

June 09, 2016

Islamic Relief UK is adding a little extra spice to its mailings during Ramadan: one envelope will contain a golden ticket entitling the lucky recipient to a free Umrah trip for two people. The Umrah trip has been provided by Al-Hidaayah Travel. It includes visas, flights, 10 nights in 4-star hotels and local travel.

The winner of last month’s golden ticket was Alima Ali, a solicitor from Barry, Wales. She was presented with her gold ticket at a Welcoming Ramadan reception at Cardiff County Hall. Ms Ali said that she was both happy and humbled to have won the prize. She also spoke of how she contributed to those less fortunate in the community: in particular, she sponsored two orphans. Other speakers at the reception included faith and civic leaders.

If you have a very tidy person in your house, tell them to resist any temptation to throw away your monthly Islamic Relief mailing as if it were junk mail!
