Government assurances that the private sector would build the new homes Britain nee Hyper Facebook(tm) Traffic ds have fallen flat.

Brand new figures show that the number of new homes registered in the third quarter of 2012 was 6% down on the same quarter last year. Private homes saw a 7% decline and the number of new social housing units was down 5%.

The total number of new homes registered across the country in the third quarter of this year was just 28,151 – enough homes to house those on the waiting list in Tower Hamlets alone with just a little to spare.
