POLICE ARE making progress in their investigation into the murder of Jason Romeo, who was murered in the early evening of 18th February, in Bodney Road, Clapton, Hackney E5.

There were reports of an argument in the street. By the time the emergency services attended, they found Jason had been stabbed. They gave him medical treatment at the scene, but they could not save his life. Police later apppealed for anyone who had been in the area at the time of the stabbing to come forward.

The breakthrough came when police arrested four people, who will remain in custody until they appear at the Old Bailey on 3rd November. They are: Raynolph Asante, 22, of Pembury Road, Hackney Travis Mitchell, 22, of Bodney Road, Hackney Rhamyah Bailey-Edwards, 21, of Williams Avenue, Walthamstow Renaldo Roberts, 25, of Hobbs Place Estate, E1

Now police have also charged Joshua Ogedengbe, 19, of Brownhill Road, SE6, with murder.

Any trial in this case is many months away. If all those charged with murder are, in due course, found guilty, six young men will end up suffering from one senseless stabbing. Something is going very wrong with the way we bring up our boy children.
