In celebration of the Europa League clash between Borussia Dortmund of Germany and Liverpool, the respected London fan clubs of both these famous teams got together at Hackney Marshes to play a friendly match.

Although the teams split possession equally in both halves, LFC London lacked a killer edge up front. The Germans took their chances and romped home 5-0 winners.

The atmosphere throughout was the key feature of the clash. Both teams shared a changing room, took mixed group pictures, exchanged pleasant banter and enjoyed a post match meal together too.

LFC London captain Hans Sok Appadu said: “This is what football is about. We have two very special groups of fans from two special clubs. We have come together through football and football alone. It was so satisfying to see how complete strangers from all backgrounds came together as one. We can learn so much from this.”

Appadu added: “Congratulations to Dortmund on their emphatic win. I have told them not to get too comfortable as we will win it back next time. We now look forward to the Reds finishing off the Europa League tie at Anfield next week.”
