In a heartwarming display of community, creativity, and calm, Sisterhood and Serenity hosted a sold out event that brought Muslim women together in a sanctuary of artistic expression and spiritual sisterhood. The gathering, a resounding success, offered a much needed pause from the rush of everyday life, showing the power of relaxation through art and the meaningful impact of community-focused events.
Created by five sisters navigating different stages of life, Sisterhood and Serenity was born from a shared vision: to provide Muslim women with a nurturing, faith inspired space to slow down, reflect, and connect beyond the usual coffee catch ups and dinner dates. What began as an idea rooted in calm and creativity has quickly evolved into a movement of togetherness and intentional living.
The event offered participants the therapeutic effects of painting in a peaceful, supportive setting. As brushes moved across canvas, a quiet serenity filled the room, interspersed with warm laughter, shared stories, and heartfelt connections. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, allowing attendees to immerse themselves in creative reflection while surrounded by likeminded women.
“The beauty of the day was in its simplicity,” said one attendee. “No pressure, no expectations – just space to be, create, and connect.”
This unique initiative aims to host creative gatherings every 2–3 months, steadily growing into a vibrant, welcoming community where women can recharge and truly belong.
Organisers describe the project as a form of “intentional sisterhood” rooted in shared values, serenity, and spiritual reflection. The overwhelmingly positive response affirms a growing demand for spaces where women can feel spiritually nourished, emotionally supported, and creatively inspired.
The next highly anticipated event, Petals of Paradise: Graze and Paint, is scheduled for Saturday, 5th July 2025, at the Locksley Community Centre, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM.
Open to women aged 18 and over, the £25 ticket includes: • A canvas board and all painting supplies • A selection of hot and cold beverages • A beautifully curated graze table of delicious treats
Ladies Only | Tickets are expected to sell fast.
