Four in court after assault on Hackney Council officer

FOUR MEN are to appear in court after a Hackney Council Enforcement Officer was assaulted in Leaside Road, E5, on 16th January.

Those summonsed are:
Osher Freidman, 30, of Wargrave Avenue, N15;
Mordechai Freidman, 31, of Fairholt Road, N16;
Benjamin Beigel, 25, of Upper Clapton Road, E5;
Yakov Nowogrodski, 25, of Fairholt Road, N16.

Osher Freidman has been to appear summonsed over two counts of common assault and the other three have each been summonsed to appear over one count of common assault. A 30 year old man arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm at the scene will have no further action taken against him.

The police say that there was quite a large crowd present when the incident occurred. They have asked anyone who witnessed the incident or has any other information about it to contact Hackney police via 101. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800-555 111, where you can give information anonymously.
