FRIENDS, NEIGHBOURS and members of the community came together to enjoy a collective lunch at the Care House in Shadwell, East London. A pleasant afternoon saw various members of all faiths and none enjoy lunch, intermingling, pleasant discussions and speeches.
Zoinul Abidin hosted the event which included Imam Kazi Ashiqur Rahman, Shabbir Kawsar, Hasan Mueenuddin, Ishaque Uddin, Khoyrul Shaheed and Tricia Bing and organiser Jaber Khan.
Speaking after the festive community lunch, Father Angus Ritchie from St George’s in the East commented, “It is indeed wonderful that we can all come together and celebrate our unity and talk about shared common values which will help drive our communities forward.”
Imam Kazi Ashiqur Rahman added, “It has been a pleasure being here today and I hope our coming together will serve as an excellent example and inspire countless others to do the same. Together we are stronger.”
