London Apsa’s Sunday team who play in the South Essex Sunday Football League, the oldest established Sunday football league in Essex dominated the final of the Vaughan Cup againt divisional rivals Vola FC. The game was played at Oakside Stadium in front of over two hundred fans.

APSA dominated the match right from the whistle, but it was not untill the 40th minute that Imraan Khan headed in Urfat Hussain’s corner at the far post to set the Newham boys on their way. At the start of the second half, the game was all but over until man of the match Mohammed Dakri set up Zaeem Husein to fire home from the edge of the penalty box in the 50th minute. Two minutes later Dakri headed the ball into the penalty box for Yasir Rashid to score one of the best goals of the season from twenty yards out, volleying a rocket that smashed into the top corner of the Viola goal.
